 POST 500/Monday Morning Reading

So ladies and gentlemen, this marks post number 500 on the vaunted Hillcrest Road. While they haven't all been from me, I've been in the drivers seat for much of the ride, so I'd like to thank you all for reading. We hope that we're providing useful and fun information on the organization. We also want to make sure we're giving you what you want. Have an idea, comment or suggestion? Post it below in the comments section. This is truly the direct online portal to the fans, so we want to make sure we're providing as much relevant and wanted information as possible.

Now for some fun reads. Last week, Jack Jewsbury was named the STLsoccer.net player of the week. Read about it here before they changed to a new player for this week.

Frank Dell'Apa, formerly the New England Revolution beat writer at the Boston Globe and now the Boston Celtics beat writer, checks in at ESPNsoccernet with a story on Celtics forward/center Kevin Garnett. Like fellow NBA stars Steve Nash and Kobe Bryant, Garnett is a huge footie fan. Imagine a 7-0 center forward. That's what Garnett plays in his back yard. Nice.

Steve Davis at ESPNsoccernet says the Wizards and Crew played the best game of the weekend. Thank you sir. Read the rest of his 10 highlights from the first round of playoff action here.

Kristian Dyer, also at soccernet, checked in last Friday with his positive take on the Beckham to Milan loan deal. A very interesting viewpoint.

  1. Once the stadium construction is underway, I would love to see a live webcam on this site so we can check the progress (aka stadium porn).
