 Kansas City Wins Part II

Alright guys, just got off the phone from Argentina with the rest of the details. The game was played in two halves with wholesale changes at halftime.

First-half lineup:

Hartman, Jewsbury, Conrad, Wahl, Harrington, Zavagnin, Myers, Watson, Marinelli, Pore, trialist Paulo Troyano.

Second half:

Kronberg, Leathers, Hohlbein, McKenzie, Marquess, Lowery, Kraus, Souter, Morsink, DiCicco, trialist Paulo Troyano.

Two big plays:
7th minute- Lance Watson scores after a nice build-up through midfield. Marinelli unlocks the play with a long switch to an overlapping Michael Harrington up the left flank. Harrington then wins the end line and crosses for Ryan Pore who lays the ball back to the top of the 18 for Watson who had cut in after Harrington's overlap. Watson collected the ball then beat the goalkeeper at the back post for the game's lone goal.

43rd minute- Hartman stops a DyJ penalty kick. The shooter went high and central, Hartman stuck his hands up to block the shot and Wahl cleared the ball out of the area to end the opportunity.

In other news, Ivan Trujillo's long bureaucratic process is over. He's on a plane for Buenos Aires and will begin training with the team likely on Thursday. Press release sent shortly. Yesterday's weekly release was incorrect. We play Velez Sarsfield tomorrow morning and then train Thursday. We are also looking for more than the original four games while in Argentina and could play another match as early as Friday against someone as big as River Plate. Hillcrest Road will, of course, let you know when details are ironed out.
