 Kansas City 3-0 San Lorenzo

Hello Hillcrest Road readers, it's a great day to be a Kansas City soccer fan. It's spring outside (I hear birds chirping); our Designated Player has signed; the KC Kings are at nationals, and we keep on rolling through Argentine competition. We beat San Lorenzo 3-0 today on the power of two more goals from Trujillo and one from Marinelli, who continues his strong pre-season campaign. I don't have minutes or many details on the goals, so my apologies in advance for that. It was a 70 minute game and only Marinelli came out.

Lineup:
Hartman, Jewsbury, Conrad, Wahl, Myers, Zavagnin, Marinelli (Morsink 60), Pore, Harrington, Sealy, Trujillo

We're told Hartman made three excellent saves during the game to keep the clean sheet and that Conrad was very collected and sharp in central defense. Marinelli continued to direct the offense with his trademark flair and Trujillo was dangerous time and again. Overall, a great effort we are told.

We play either Boca or Velez tomorrow and then LP Estudiantes Friday. The boys will begin training next week Tuesday, play in Norman against Real Salt Lake and SMU next Saturday, then begin the regular-season against DCU March 29. See you all there!

  1. Is that lineup a 3-4-3? Looks strange...

  2. I'd guess that Ryan Pore played in the midfield, either as A-mid or 2-way mid.

  3. Is Lopez going to get any PT before the team leaves Argentina? I am guessing that he won't be traveling to KC until his visa is done, so it would be nice if he could get into some games while the team is still there.

  4. Is the team going to file a discovery claim on any of the 5 Cubans that look to have defected from their U-23 team last night?
