The reserves fell 1-0 to SMU on a first-half goal by Bruno Guarda. SMU goalkeeper Craig Hill stood on his head several times to foil great chances by our boys. He took three balls off the foot of a Wizards attacker with quick moves off his line. In the first half, Kurt Morsink appeared to catch Hill off his line, but the goalkeeper scrambled back and palmed the ball off the crossbar to keep us scoreless.
In the second half, guest player Nelson Pizarro (a former open tryout participant) hit a 30-yard shot off the cross bar that had beaten Hill and Kevin Souter missed a half volley just wide of the near post from about 12 yards out.
Supplemental draft goalkeeper Andrew Kartunen made his debut, playing the entire second half. Goalkeeper Boris Pardo (a field player throughout his youth and prep career) suited up as a field player and entered toward the end as a forward due to the squad missing several players to injury. Guest players Allan Nekuda (William Jewell College), Kevin Nekuda (William Jewell College), Josh Howard (William Jewell College), Pizarro (Lincoln Memorial) and Souter (Graceland) played in the match.
KCW Reserves:
Kronberg (Kartunen 46), Pizarro, Hohlbein, Howard (K. Nekuda 83), Kraus, Leathers, Lowery (A. Nekuda 83), Morsink, Souter, Victorine (Pardo 83), Sealy (Colombano 46)

I read in the SI preview that KC has opted to return to the 4-4-2. In the last several games the lineup does look like a 4-4-2, or even a 4-3-3 or 3-4-3 if Pore has been playing in front rather than on the wing. If it is indeed a 4-4-2, this is what I pieced together -- any corrections?
