 Watch Party Locations

Howdy partners, I hope it's a good Friday for you all. The boys in blue head on the road for the first time this season when the face the Chicago Fire at 2 p.m. CT Sunday. You all know what that means: Watch parties! We understand that these have been hit or miss in the past, but promise that they will be all-hit, all the time this year. Our three locations (Barley's Brewhaus on Midland Drive in Lenexa, and the O'Dowd's both on the Plaza and at Zona Rosa) have expressed their great interest in hosting us and our fans.

We put out a release about them yesterday and have a page dedicated to them at kcwizards.com here. Sunday there will be Starting 11 Girls at Barley's and the O'Dowd's at Zona Rosa giving away some items. Head out to any of the three locations to catch some footie with friends.

If you're still undecided about attending, here are a few more reasons to go:

For the practical- "It's a great way for you to get together with fellow fans to root on your team at a popular watering hole." Adam Meloan, Experience Development

For the domineering- "There's power in numbers." Martie Harter, the Godmother (Human Resources)

For the drinker- "There's nothing better than watching soccer with some fun, drunken fans." Margot the intern

For the Cauldronite- "Because I will be at the Zona Rosa up north." Chad Reynolds, Graphic Design

For the hungry- "Because the Monte Cristo sandwhich at O'Dowd's is Heaven on earth!" Amber, Starting 11 Girl

For the Fire hater- "So you can high-five other fans when Blanco gets his a** handed to him" also Amber, Starting 11 Girl

For the nostalgic- "To remember with a crowd the jubilation you felt watching the Wizards beat the Fire for both of our pieces of silverware." Kyle Rogers, Hillcrest Road

And finally- "What else is there to do at 2 p.m. on the Sabbath?" Shawn Quesnell, VP of Finance

  1. I got two quotes! Awesome! Even if one of them had a slight omission...
