 All-Star Media Draft

The media draft was held today in Power and Light District for Thursday's All-Star media game. Come watch your favorite media personalities play one another during halftime of the Wizards game vs. Red Bull New York. Below are a couple of pictures. More will be available shortly at www.kcwizards.com and a recap of today's draft will be posted later this evening after Hillcrest touches down in Seattle. Off to the airport.

    This game is a joke, which is why it is being held at halftime of a Thursday night game. The media don't care about the Wizards and know nothing about soccer.

    Yeah get some of the media people that actually care about the sport... DA if he was still here, Luder, Porter, Gratoff. Hell even go for some of the Wizards bloggers, I'm sure they'd get a kick out of it.

    Put ehm all out there, Hillcrest road Oz City, KC Futbol, Down the Byline, KC Soccer Review, get them all. Publicize those people of the "media" that support you more then all the people that will on the field Thursday combined.

    Yes so they should only market and draw interest from people that already watch and cover the sport? That's the way to increase interest, it's about as logical as running soccer commercials only during soccer games to expand your fan base.

    Look, it doesn't hurt and there are only upsides to the event.

    But as a fan it hurts to see people getting to play on the same field as the Wizards when you know they probably can't name five people on the team...stings a little.

    My suggesting would be media vs. bloggers or people from the cauldron.

    I'd love either media vs bloggers or vs Cauldron, as I'd play in both, but I don't think there are quite enough KC bloggers to play in that game...

    Looks like a couple of the bloggers made the roster, Kurt from Oz City, and Andrew who does KC Futbol. Mike, did you get asked to do this? I thought this would be right up your alley.
