FYI-Saturday during pre-game at various locations around the stadium as well as from the mascots, we will be giving out wrist bands with the Toshiba logo to the first 5,000 kids K-16 in the stadium. From those kids, we will select two winners at random to serve as honorary coaches of the mascot game. The coach of the winning team will win a 32" flat screen Toshiba TV, courtesy of Toshiba Business Solutions. The "coach" of the losing team will receive four Fieldside Reserve seats at a future game.
Thanks Toshiba! Who knew so much was riding on the mascot game? Make sure your kids get a band as you're entering the park.
What's the offcial age range for "kids"? Is 25 to old? I could use a new tv. :-)
ReplyDeleteParents, bring all your kids and your neighbors' kids for the chance to win a TV, not a chance to see our local pro soccer team and David Beckham.
ReplyDeleteLame-o promotion.
Anon-This is just an added promo at the game, not something we are blasting to the world. We assume that all people who read this site know that we promote the game first...these other things are just bonuses to those who attend.
ReplyDeletehey hillcrest, pay no mind to idiots like anon, he is still upset that you dared to invite Dora to a game...and Selena...and even Brandi, too. Cause they ruined any chance for a good time out at CAB.
ReplyDeleteNext time, don't bother to acknowledge his pissing and moaning...He lives in a made up fantasy world where no soccer team is ever allowed to do a promotion for it spoils the purity of the game.
He's the lame-o.
why on earth is the only decent giveaway only for kids? furthermore, what's a 10 year old kid gonna do with a flatscreen? most people i know that go to games don't really care if there's a giveaway or not as we'd be there anyway. but for the love of pete, if you're giving away a tv, wouldn't that be a great incentive to get actual adults into the game instead more annoying kids?
ReplyDeletejust like a lot of things with this organization this year - good idea, bad execution.
Dear hillcrest, I think you're doing a fine job with this year events. Don't let people get to you guys. It's hard work and you guys are doing fine. I enjoy the posts, the games, the shows and the interviews that have been happening. Thanks for all your hard work.
ReplyDeletePs. Can 23 be considered a kid?
The age of those eligible was chosen by Toshiba, since they are donating the TV after all. We did give a TV away a few games ago through a halftime promo that was open to all ages. Thanks to all for the comments, positive, negative and middle-of-the-road. Passion is what we're after from you fans.
ReplyDeletevery well, hillcrest. if it was toshiba that chose the age, then they deserve the negative comments. i still don't understand why they'd want to give an 8 year old a 32" tv. i suppose i should be happy that someone like toshiba is involved with a wizards game in the first place. oooo, here's an idea. get toshiba as the shirt sponsor and then give 32" tv's as the "gift" on season ticket packages. what do you mean it's not practical?
ReplyDeleteAnon...I chuckle at the last part of your last post!
