 Game Day #2

Kickoff is upon us. The game kicks off in about 1 hour, 30 minutes and fans are starting to enter CAB. The field looks impeccable once again, and the weather is perfect for an afternoon soccer match. Coach Arena is in the building prepping for the call today with Wheelock. He's staying with Onalfo while in town and mentioned the favorable cost of living for those of us in the Midwest.

Ran across a great post from Mr. Tony Felich from Redeemer Presbyterian Church in Overland Park. Felich posts regularly on his blog, and had a great post this morning about his recent season ticket purchase and the team. Very cool read.

I'll be back in 30 minutes with starting lineups.

Oops...missed the return time. Lineups:

KCW-Hartman, Leathers, Conrad, Wahl, Harrington, Jewsbury, Zavagnin, Marinelli, Pore, Lopez, Trujillo

subs: Kronberg, Myers, Morsink, Hohlbein, Colombano, Espinoza, Sealy

COL-Condoul, Kimura, Erpen, Keel, Burciaga, Cooke, DiRaimondo, LaBrocca, Clark, C. Gomez, Cummings

  1. I just want to give the Wizards props again for moving the game's time earlier. I know that some diehards have complained that it makes MLS look like a neglected, "unprofessional" league, but I think that it really shows OnGoal's commitment to the fans. I doubt that other major sports leagues would move their games to accommodate the Final Four, but I think that any major sports league ought to. Professional sports are defined by their provision of a service for the fans, and I think that the Wizard's decision was made with the fans' (and therefore the team's) interest in mind.

  2. Thanks for the shout out. Man was that a hard fought victory tonight! Very different game from the opener. Colorado is chippy, but the Wizards proved they can play that brand of soccer if they have to. Jimmy C is the man. What a gutsy effort.

  3. I think I just found a church to go to in Overland Park. Any guy that prefers Wizards to the Final Four must know the will of God.
