 KCSoccerStore.com Opens

As we mentioned a month or so back here at Hillcrest Road, the blog, we are opening an online team store that will transition into our physical location at Hillcrest Road, the stadium. A press release will go out shortly. Here's a quote from our merch guru Jacques Tournoy.

"We are excited about the launch of KCSoccerStore.com because it signifies the beginning of our future merchandising capabilities,” Wizards Vice President of Merchandising Jacques Tournoy. “This virtual store will eventually merge into our brick-and-morter store when it opens alongside our new stadium in 2010. Through KCSoccerStore.com, we will continue to build upon the relationships we have developed with our loyal fan base both locally and throughout the country."

On a personal note, props to Jacques for making our merchandise a strong and desirable set of swag. Not only is our new jersey very sharp, but all other options we've come up with in the last year are excellent. It will only continue to improve, folks!

Go shop folks! www.KCSoccerStore.com.

  1. You keep mentioning the stadium as if it's a foregone conclusion that it will be done. If so then please leak some images or post a process update of those events. We were promised by this site and by posts on others that we would have something back in (early) February and here we are essentially looking at June.

  2. Andy, we will not be showing any designs/renderings until we are positive it will be the stadium that we actually deliver. When Sprint Center was first shown to the public, it had many high-tech elements that did not make it to the consumers two years later. We do not want to do that. Once we have the final design in a presentable fashion, it will be produced for public consumption, we promise. We're not hoarding it without reason. We want to get it right.

  3. so do the Wizards get a larger percentage of the profit (or maybe all profit?) from sales from kcsoccerstore.com as compared to mlsgear.com?
