 Leathers Goes 90 for U.S. U-23s

Defender Jonathan Leathers played the full 90 for the U.S. U-23 team today in a 3-2 loss to Turkey in the Toulon tournament. Leathers played right back in the first half and left back in the second half. Those of you who watched the match on FSC, how did he look? Reports say he was excellent in the second stanza. We'll try to catch up with Jonny later for some thoughts on the match.

  1. He didn't overly stand out, but he was no where near the worse player for the US (that honor falls on Wagner, the guy who's spot he took in the second half). A decent game for him, definitely.

  2. He looked amazing in the second half. He brought a more offensive minded game and started to push up more so than in the first half. I think Coach Onalfo should try switching Leather and Harrington up in league play.

  3. Could you turn on your rss feed for the blog? I would love to keep up with this blog, but I predominately use my rss reader.

    Thanks.
