 Something I Don't Normally Do

Hello Hillcrest Road faithful, as you know, this is the official blog of the Kansas City Wizards. This is, however, a site about soccer, Major League Soccer and human beings. The following story comes from our Houston MLS brethren. Last year, Dynamo players Craig Waibel and Stuart Holden befriended a 14-year-old boy with terminal cancer. Houston Chronicle writer Richard Justice tells the rest of the story of their ensuing friendship. This is touching stuff. Seriously. I got tingles.

Great work Craig and Stuart; you make us all proud.

  1. Craig Waibel is a true class act in MLS... Despite the good-natured ribbing The Cauldron has always heaped upon him, he has always come over and thanked us for supporting soccer with a great passion. It's great to see MLS players doing good things, regardless of the colors they wear on gameday.
