 Happy Birthday Sammie J/Select-a-Seat/KZ

First of all, happy birthday to customer service guru and photographic bliss subject Saturday Night Sammie J Pierron. Sam turns the big 3-1 today. He and Jimmy were born but four days apart. More photographic bliss:

Second, don't forget about partial-season select-a-seat tomorrow at CAB from 8:30 a.m. - 4 p.m. tomorrow. We will also be selling game and practice-used team gear starting for $15 or less.

Last, we just checked in with Kerry Zavagnin from Bradenton. He said that practice is going great and that everyone is in good spirits. On the ongoing formation change, Kerry said: "We've gotten a lot done since we got down here. We've had a chance to focus more on tactical movements instead of fitness because everyone took care of themselves in the off-season. It's a big advantage we have over a lot of teams. We're progressing nicely down here."

As you know, the guys take on Toronto and Chicago tomorrow in split-squad action. The plan is for players to play 90 minutes or as close to that as possible for the first time.

Back with more as it happens.

  1. Happy BDay Sam!

I've got a question for someone. How come the Wizards aren't taking part in the US Development Academy? I see they have got a huge event going in Frisco this weekend and the Wizards don't have any team there? Are the Wizards looking to join at some point? Just curious where we stand on the issue.

  2. At this point, there weren't enough teams in the program from our region, so we decided as an organization to establish our program first and then re-evaluate joining the program at a later time.
