Jack Jewsbury does his best "this-is-our-new-jersey-and-yes-it-makes-me-look-good" pose. You're right Jack. That's a great looking kit.
Rookie defender Jonathan Leathers imagines himself on an Abercrombie & Fitch bag. He and Chance Myers make a dashing right-sided combination.
Lance Watson ties his shoe, while managing to still stare intently into the camera.

I really like the new uniform tops, but having blue pants would make the uniform look much better. The white pants we had last year with blue tops and now with the new tops just doesn't fit.
ReplyDeletethe blue at the bottom of the white shorts is interesting, but I think I'd prefer to see the blue shorts with this new top.
ReplyDeletelooks terrible. wear blue at home, the more the better. end this fascination with the white shorts already!
ReplyDeleteNot an improvement over '07. The logo is pretty minor league and somehow even step down.
ReplyDeleteI think the new unis are awesome. White shorts looks a look better, and more professional. Many clubs around the world have white shorts, and it looks great. Everyone else in MLS has monotone unis.(New England, DC United, LA Galaxy, etc.) The new Adidas template (shirt and shorts)that we have is very nice, also. All in all 10/10
ReplyDeleteNot a fan of white shorts or white shoes....
ReplyDeleteBut it does look really nice. Are these available in store yet?
I can see Sasha has a future in modeling :). I don't mine the white shorts as long as the socks are blue. The white socks with all blue kits as shown at the draft looked bad. The new jersey is growing on me, but I hope we get a new shield by the time we move into Hillcrest Road in 2010.
ReplyDeleteThe blue/white combo looks terrible. Can you please post pics of the away jersey?
ReplyDeleteAway jersey will be unveiled shortly.
ReplyDelete"Away jersey will be unveiled shortly."
ReplyDeletetease tease tease....
Chelsea does all blue with white socks, Everton does blue tops, white shorts & socks. Does any major clubs do blue, white, blue? I like it, it's a unique combination. I'll be interested to see how the yellow trim evolves.
ReplyDeletethey should do blue shorts with white socks or just straight blue. this current kit looks awkward.
ReplyDeleteI realize you can't please everyone. That being said...
ReplyDeleteSeriously, WTF???
I'm not sure which is worse. The fact we have white shorts, or the random blue stripe.
IMO it should have been either black or blue shorts.
I may call the guys on Queer Eye to fix this! ;)
Bring back the old blue and the old logo! The new logo is ugly and too big. The new blue is too dark and the trim makes the whole jersey look bad. I would rather us bring back the black and rainbow jersey than use this new one.
ReplyDeletePlease never even think of bringing back the old logo and ignore soccerpatch, who must have them over both eyes.
ReplyDeleteI like the new blue and more professional look. Mixing in blue shorts with this could look good as well.
Soccerpatch11, in case you haven't been paying attention, the team has no control over the size of the shield/logo....that decisions was made by Adidas. Look at other team jerseys for this season and you will see they have larger shields/logos as well.
ReplyDeletethe star above the logo looks ridiculously small in comparison.
ReplyDeleteEven with a smaller version of that logo would be disgusting. We should keep our old logo because it was what we created in the beginning. If we are going to use that blue, we might as well wear blue shorts and white socks and call ourselves Chelsea F.C. Have every game be retro jersey night!
