 Split Squads Today

Hey there, the guys got done not too long ago with our split-squad scrimmages against Toronto and Chicago. Since two games were going on, it was hard for the staff to see both games the entire time, but here is what I have gathered so far:

KCW 0-2 Toronto

-----------Hartman-----------

Jewsbury (Leathers 77)--Conrad---Wahl

-------Zavagnin----Morsink---------

Myers-------Marinelli-------Harrington

----Colombano-----Sealy (Pore 46)----

We'll fill in Toronto's scorers when we find them.

KCW 1-1 Chicago

-----------Kronberg (O'Hara 60)----------

Leathers (William 46)---Hohlbein---Marquess (McKenzie 46)

--------Lowery--------McMahen---------

Raybould-------Espinoza--------Watson

------Pore (Kraus 46)-----Gray------

KCW goal - First half- Ryan Pore (Lance Watson)
Watson dribbled several players to get into the box but couldn't find a shot. He laid the ball off for Pore for a clean finish.

We'll try to fill in the blanks soon, but we do know that Chicago played its "starters" for at least a half against our split squad today. Good showing by that group.

The team returns home tonight, has Sunday and Monday off, then will get back at it at noon on Tuesday. Practice will either be at our Swope Park Training Center or KC Sports Lodge. We'll let you know as soon as it's determined.

  2. I'm starting to see a trend, we really really can't score a goal with our first team.
Out of curiosity, were our reserves playing Chicago first team or reserves?
This year is going to stink.

  5. Chicago's first team played the first half and then mixed in some reserves for the second half.

  6. The Fire didn't have Rolfe, Blanco, Segares, and a couple of their other regulars for any of the game--just for the record so you guys played against a makeshift squad.
