Wizards and Irish Fest, Year II

For the second straight year, the Wizards will partner with the Kansas City Irish Festival, coming up next weekend at Crown Center. Some Irish-Fest themed events will take place at our match tomorrow night. The Gaelic Athletic Association will be out in a tent, showing off the sport of "hurling" for all to see. This will be out by the playground area on the South side of CAB. A Starting 11 Girl will model our new "Wizards Irish" T-shirt that will be on sale next weekend at our Irish Fest tent, and we will play some Irish music over the PA. Enjoy the Irish-themed festivities tomorrow, then come see us next Saturday at the Irish Fest for some good times celebrating heritage from the Emerald Isle. (No Wizards of Oz references, please.)

Last year was a blast, so make sure to come visit our tent Labor Day weekend! For more info on the event, click here.

  1. I hope that Irish music won't be played during the run of play during the game this weekend. I hope that the team, and the league have moved past needing music played during the game. It was annoying enough when it was done at Arrowhead.

  2. Not during the run of play, only during pre, half and post-game portions.

  3. Hey anon: Guess you haven't been to a game lately because if you had bothered to come to CAB you would hear the difference and there would be no need for your moaning...but I guess you would rather complain from afar...

  4. I've been at every game this season, and know that there hasn't been music played during the game. I was just asking to be sure, because during the Atlas game there was music played while the game was being played. But please continue to overreact to my posts.

  5. Tell you what, take the off-topic pissing and moaning some-place else and I'll stop calling you out on it. BTW...Here's an idea...Enjoy the games, and the Irish Fest and get a life.

  6. It's weird to see people with the same name fighting with one another.
