 Zavagnin Announces Retirement

Hey there, just wanted to drop you a note and let you know that midfielder Kerry Zavagnin, holder of the team's all-time games played and minutes played records, told the crew at the weekly press conference today he would hang them up after the season. Read Bob Luder's brief summary here. It should be updated later this evening. (Also, don't people get tired of posting hateful comments just for fun. They can't be that bored, can they?)

Also, for all you non-season-ticket-holders out there, LA Galaxy tickets go on sale tomorrow at 10 a.m. through our website, by calling 913.387.3400 or through any Ticketmaster outlet. Will be back later with pricing and further details. The game, as you probably know, will be played at Arrowhead Stadium on Saturday, September 13 at 4 p.m. CT. The game was moved up three hours because the Chiefs play a home game the next day and will need time to clean and convert the stadium.

  2. Here's to the rest of a great season with Kerry. Congrats on the new record. You will be missed!

As for those other comments......their mom didn't teach them very well. If you don't have anything nice to say, don't say anything at all.

  3. Sad to hear this. Kerry is one of the few players like a Vermes, Klein or a Conrad that set a standard at a position as player and as an ambassador of professionalism on and off the field. He will be missed. Thanks for the memories KZ!
