Shoveling snow - the work before the work
The key to staying on schedule has been Dunn's timing – closely monitoring the weather forecasts so that they can get the critical path tasks completed within the brief windows between storms. By last Friday, they had finished excavating the berm and had the gravel base installed, and properly covered, so when it poured rain most of Super Bowl Sunday, it didn't delay the first concrete pour on Monday of this week. This first concrete layer is called a mudsill and it serves to protect the sub-base from the inclement weather and provides a good stable working surface, which is especially important when you consider all this work is being performed on a slope.
Covering up before last Sunday's deluge
As of today, the bed of reinforcing steel is almost complete, and the first two rows of treads are ready to be poured on Monday. To speed up the overall process they will be pouring two rows at a time, starting with rows 1 and 9, then wait two days and pour the next two, 2 & 10, and so on. In no time at all we will see the section really take shape.

Also next week, the new sports light poles are scheduled to be set. From now thought late March, CAB will really be a flurry of activity. And it needs to be as March 29 is just around the corner.
On a side note, I don’t know how much everyone really wants to know about the construction process, so let us know if you like these types of updates and want more – or less - details.
